**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for all General Ledger procedures including journal entry preparation, discrepancy resolution, and account analysis as well as cost accounting:

- Enter direct journal vouchers (e.g. related to Payroll).
- Reconcile Sub ledgers with General Ledger.
- Prepares journal vouchers for entry of direct GL transactions (manual, recurring, allocation journals etc.) into the General Ledger and for approval of Chief Accountant.
- Performs GL reconciliation with sub ledgers (all subsidiary accounts and records will be reconciled to the General Ledger) monthly and at year-end closing.
- Informs and follow-up with the Chief Accountant if reconciliation between General Ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers are not reconciled. Record all adjusting, closing and reversing entries to attain reconciliation in such cases (after approval by the Chief Accountant).
- Creates GL reports for management related to journal vouchers summaries, account analysis, period closing, Trial Balance and others as required.
- Works with the Chief Accountant to resolve any discrepancies and questions related to the recording of general ledger transactions.
- Works to ensure that historical and current data is received in a timely and efficient manner and those transactions can be reported on and recorded in the system accurately.
- Ensures posting of sub-ledgers is performed on timely basis and in accordance with month end closing.
- Ensures that all accounting entries are supported with valid documentation.
- Ensures that all period end transactions have been recorded and posted to GL.
- Works with auditors as needed on research/resolution of complex accounting issues.
- Completes various special engagements as requested by the Chief Accountant.

Qualifications and Experience

**A minimum of**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Professional certificate (i.e. CPA, CMA or CA) is preferred.
- Knowledge of International accounting Standards (e.g. IFRS) and SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants).
- Proficiency in both English and Arabic Language.
