**About the Job**

As a Quality Technician you will lead FA (Failure Analysis) activities and technical support. Ensuring that all colleagues are adhering to the correct procedures within the repair process and that all quality specifications are met. Where there is non-adherence the Quality Technician will record issues and report them to the Quality Engineering team ensuring that corrective action is taken and track improvement through audits, ultimately strengthening the overall control of the repair process across the operation. As part of your key responsibilities you will:

- Ensure that all colleagues in all job functions are undertaking their roles with the aspect of quality in mind.
- Assist the team in the collation and analysis of data from measurable points within the repair process, to establish trending patterns and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that all colleagues are trained to use equipment correctly and follow procedures within the repair quality management process
- Where no adherence is identified, to support the operation to manage corrective action and track improvement in quality
- Manage and lead both Internal and External audit schedules
- Write and deliver high quality, insightful audit reports with recommendations for improvement
- Facilitate the achievement of company targets for cost of quality, deliver measurable cost reduction targets in line with the company strategy and set objectives

**About You**

**Essential**:

- Computer literate with intermediate knowledge of all Microsoft packages
- Ability to problem solve using root cause analysis techniques Strong experience working as a quality assurance technician, improving quality processes.
- Good understanding of problem-solving tools (8D’s, 5Y’s, fishbone etc.)
- Computer literate (Spreadsheets and creation of report documents)
- Ability to articulate complex technical issues to Technicians and Leadership team
- Good manual dexterity where mechanical assembly and disassembly is required
- Good understanding of IT systems and architecture
- Familiarity with our clients’ environments such as GSX, AST2
- Familiarity with Data loggers
- Proven experience of delivering continuous improvement activities, from identification of opportunities through to implementation of best practice, within an operations / commercial function
- Numerate, with proven analytical skills

**Desirable**:

- An education in Electronic Engineering, Test Engineering and Computer Sciences
- Ability to communicate with people at team leader and operations management level
