- ollect, inventory, and receive claims documents from the governmental entity. R
- eview the submitted documents and ensure compliance with the approved form. C
- onduct initial meetings with project parties to discuss deliveries and claim preparation. D
- evelop a mechanism for claims evaluation and create evaluation forms and a database. C
- oordinate with contractors to address any deficiencies or adjustments in the claim. C
- onduct an analytical study of the claims and identify initial indicators and observations. S
- et priorities for claims and create a clear time plan for evaluation procedures. C
- onduct workshops with contract supervision consultants on claim evaluation. S
tage 2: Technical and contractual evaluation of the claim. H
- old workshops with project supervision consultants to collect relevant information. S
- tudy and compare claim items with approved models and technical specifications. A
- nalyze material components, relative analysis, and services related to each item. V
- erify and match numbers, quantities, and information in the claim documents. C
- heck legal and contractual requirements related to the claim. C
- onduct any additional procedures or analysis for fair and governed evaluation. S
tage 3: Financial evaluation of the claim. S
- tudy and analyze indicators of materials prices, inflation rates, and wage changes. E
- valuate the references adopted by the contractor for compensation calculation. A
- nalyze financial accounts and supporting documents for indirect costs. C
- reate a detailed database of price references and financial costs for claims. C
- ompare direct and indirect cost accounts with other contractors. P
- erform additional financial procedures or analysis for fairness and governance. S
tage 4: Lessons learned and development of procedures. P
- rovide support and assistance to the government agency in the compensation file. P
- repare a report on lessons learned and observations during claim analysis. I
- dentify risks and define responsibilities for managing compensation causes. D
- evelop policies, procedures, and contractual terms to mitigate future claims. C
- reate reference guides for claims preparation, governance, and review mechanisms. E
- stablish a reference database and train project managers on best practices. B
- uild a sustainable database for claim management with mechanisms and policies. G
eneral Responsibilities: E
- nsure timely closure of all claims. S
- chedule all internal and external audits on all claims issues. O
- versee all electronic claims processes. A
- nalyze all claims to ensure optimal quality and perform regular surveillance of all claim issues. F
- orecast all staffing requirements and schedule all employee attendance. P
- erform other duties as assigned by the client.
B
- achelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent. A
- postgraduate degree in Engineering or an MBA will be considered a plus. 2
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles in Claims Management. I
- deally a combination of Development experience and more traditional Claims experience. P
- MP, RICS, CIArb, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred. S
- trong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment. P
- roven experience in building and leading high-performing teams. C
- xcellent command of written and spoken English. G
- ood work experience on a global scale (preferably work experience in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia) T
- he position requires an Arabic fluent speaker since most of the communication with the client and documents is in Arabic.
