Radiology Sectional Representative I

Coordinates and organizes daily and weekly patient appointments for the assigned Radiology section, with appropriate patient scheduling and preparation. Follows sectional protocols with regards to special procedures requiring specific arrangements. Performs systematic actions and arrangements with other departments required to successfully complete all radiological exams specific to the section.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1.Receives and greets patients, employees or visitors as they arrive in Radiology Department and/or section, providing pertinent information, instruction and directions.

2.Receives future Radiology appointment requests, from In-patient wards and Out-patient clinics, and performs necessary actions in Radiology Department Scheduling Module for booking.

3.Receives sectional examination requests requiring urgent attention and takes the most appropriate action with regards to confirming the appointments.

4.Receives In-patient requests through sectional On-line Work list and arranges their exams and preparation.

5.Prepares and schedules In-patients accordingly upon instructions from the sectional technical staff, the night prior to the examination.

6.Ensures all arrangements for sectional procedures and special bookings are communicated with other related departments such as: DPC, DMU, Pre Anaesthesia etc.

7.Assists in planning and re-arranging the sectional work flow and appointment schedules in case of planned and/or unplanned downtime of the machines, and takes all necessary actions required to inform patients and staff.

8.Arranges transportation required for all patients within the section so as to ensure their prompt return to the respective units upon completion of the radiology exam.

9.Coordinates with radiology recovery room when required for availability and booking of patients undergoing procedures.

10.Coordinates and organizes Radiology sectional appointments with other radiology department modalities.

11.Reschedules patient appointment when necessary and upon instruction from the sectional supervisor, making all necessary actions including contacting the patients and informing them of the subsequent changes.

12.Upon instruction, assists in providing patients with needed preparation instructions whilst in the department.

13.Requests and maintains patients’ medical records as per related policies.

14.Communicates with sectional staff including Radiologist and/or Technologists to manage exam protocols, prescriptions, Labs and other necessary requirements.

15.Assists nursing section in interacting with patients.

16.Participates in the orientation of new employees as required.

17.Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

18.Participates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.

19.Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Education**:
Bachelor’s Degree or IPA Diploma in Hospital Administration or other related discipline is required.

**Experience Required**:
One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor’s Degree or three (3) years with IPA Diploma is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:
Saudi National only.
