As a Sales Representative in the Polycarboxylate Ether industry, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and selling PCE superplasticizers—a critical component in modern concrete production. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions using PCE products. You’ll contribute to optimizing concrete performance, enhancing quality and ensuring durability in construction projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Product Knowledge**:
- Develop a deep understanding of Polycarboxylate Ether superplasticizers, including their chemical properties, mechanisms of action and benefits in concrete.
- Stay updated on industry trends, research and advancements related to PCE and concrete admixtures.
- **Client Engagement**:
- Identify potential clients, including admixture companies, major contractors, architects and engineers.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and technical consultations to showcase the advantages of PCE.
- Address client enquiries, provide accurate information and offer customized solutions based on customer requirements.
- **Sales and Business Development**:
- Generate leads, build a strong pipeline and convert prospects into customers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to secure sales.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
- **Relationship Building**:
- Cultivate long-term relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Attend industry events, trade shows and conferences to network and expand your professional connections.
- **Market Analysis**:
- Analyze market dynamics, competitor offerings and pricing strategies.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market demands.
- **Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions and progress.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts and market trends.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the construction or chemical industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Technical knowledge of concrete admixtures, especially PCE, is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented and customer-focused.
