**Position Objectives**:
Strategically design and implement information systems and networked software architectures that support core organizational functions (BSS-OSS-CRM-IT-Asset Management) and assure their high availability.
This individual will gain organizational commitment for all technology and software plans, as well as evaluate and select all technologies required to complete those plans.
In addition, the Solutions Architect provides technical leadership across the organization, from strategic decision-making down to the project planning level.

**Job Description & Responsibilities**:
Strategy & Planning
Act as visionary and strategist for solution area in ((BSS-OSS-CRM-IT-Asset Management)
Design and implement long-term strategic goals and short-term tactical plans for managing and maintaining corporate technology and software.
Ensure that proposed and existing solution architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Business Analysts, Business System Analysts, Systems Engineers, other Architects, and software development teams.
Develop, document, and communicate plans for investing in solutions architecture, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and systems flexibility.
Survey the market landscape for solution insights, direction, vendors and methods.
Speak at trade conferences and seek authorship opportunities in trade publications.
Write, or direct the writing of white papers that add further insight and thought in the solution area.
Lead development of formalized solution methodologies.
Build and maintain a repository for deliverables and methodologies.
Acquisition & Deployment
Where applicable, design, develop, and oversee the implementation of end-to-end integrated solutions.
Document and maintain the organization's existing solutions architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and alternatives.
Review new and existing solutions design projects and procurement or outsourcing plans for compliance with standards and architectural procedures.
Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources.
Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors and IT stakeholders to provision estimates and develop an overall implementation plan for installation, customization and integration efforts.
Provide expertise to identify and translate system requirements into software design documentation.
Provide quality assurance for services within the solution area.
Operational Management
Confer with end-users, clients, or senior management to define business requirements for complex systems (including interfaces) and infrastructure development.
Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
Work with technical writers to ensure quality internal and external client-oriented documentation.
Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance.
Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
Develop and manage a systems capacity plan.
Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing technology and software as necessary.
Provide mentoring or guidance to junior members of the team.
Establish, manage and run the architecture review board.

**Qualifications & Experience**:
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or similar essential.
Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar position within a Telecom Operator
TOGAF 9 Certified essential.
COBIT 5 Foundation desirable.
ITIL v3 Foundation desirable.
Ability to develop logical detailed test scenarios.
Agile project management.
Planning and analytical skills
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good command of written and spoken English essential
