Maint/eng Asst Engineer

**Responsibilities**

**JOB PURPOSE**

Lead the shift Maintenance team in his area to follow the implementation of the corrective and preventive maintenance in addition to all other assigned tasks and ensure they all are executed in safe, efficient and cost effective manner.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**

The overall managing Quality, Costs, Service and People with the aid of technicians across all shifts
- Executing the maintenance schedules to maintain the Utilities equipment with-in given engineering standards.
- Adhere to all technical problems within the area of responsibility and make sure proper actions are identified and taken and support other areas supervisors if needed.
- Ensure all requirements of the safety policies are being adhered to.
- Engage and ensure the maintenance and operation of the wastewater treatment plant is at it best and in compliance with PepsiCo’s and the legislative limits and parameters.
- Seek and ensure the full understanding of waste water treatment stages, operation and mitigation plans to cascade the knowledge and guide the WWTP operators during day-to-day activities and duties.
- Lead the WWTP operation, maintenance and performance monitoring and improvements supervising the operators and ensure all tests are conducted and logged on-time.
- Maintain and implement AIB & Food Safety standards across the plant related to utilities areas, equipment and amenities.
- Identify opportunities, support initiatives and encourage his team to improve production and engineering processes in conjunction with production personnel to improve quality, productivity, enhance safety or drive down costs.
- Ensure that spending is in line with the department budget and direct manager directions.
- Daily reporting of all shift activities.
- To implement, sustain and participate in the continual improvement of the OH&S Management System (MS) at area of responsibility in accordance with the legislations, PepsiCo GEHSMS and relevant EHS standards, ensuring proper controls for all hazards and risks associated with all activities/areas are in place and OH&S targets are achieved.
- To implement, reinforce, guide and follow up with the equipment condition monitoring tactics and resulted action plans execution.
- To develop the needed RCA (Root Cause Analysis), evaluate and identify the root causes of major and repetitive equipment breakdowns to build, assign and execute action plans for future reoccurrences prevention.
- Engage to improve the Utilities equipment uptime, reduce MTTR and increase MTBF to eliminate any business interruptions related to utilities supply and reliability
- Good understanding of the latest sustainability improvement initiatives, lead and execute the assigned sustainability project and implementation of latest best practices.
- Lead the Utilities-related CapEx & OpEx projects from scope identification till the full handover, validations and activation.

**Qualifications**

**EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED**
- The person should be a self-starter with innovative technical abilities and leadership skills.
- Degree /BSc in mechanical, electromechanical or mechatronics engineering with minimum three years industrial (FMCG) experience.
- Can read plans/schematic drawings (in the field of qualification)
- Malfunctions and technical troubleshooting ability
- Capable of organizing planned activities
- Can evaluate technical capabilities and assign duties
- Can coordinate interaction between different departments
- Can lead modifications and small projects execution
- Able to do independent testing and activate installations
- Have Quality and Food Safety QFS systems and policies knowledge
- Environment, Health and Safety EHS systems and policies knowledge
- Have good knowledge in using SAP-PM
- Team leader and can support and motivate others
- Have good written and spoken communication skills
- Can draw up and generate reports
- Have good to excellent command of English language.
