**Key Purpose**:
- Advise on managing, coordinating, and administering the project
- Advise the stake holders on planning through procurement, construction, and turn-over
- Verifying the development of budgets and schedules
- Review performance reports on project progress
- Initiate action to assure program/project objectives and schedules are met
- Ensure work is performed within timeline and according to specifications
- Resolves problems and coordinates the final turnover of work to downstream work activities
- Provides leadership for the development and maintenance of a high-performance project
team
- Has overall responsibility for scope execution, ensuring that Program/Project is delivered
within contract requirements
- Assist in maintaining standards of quality and safety and performance expectations
Key accountabilities
- Coordinate with engineering on constructability and design issues relating to the civil discipline such as steel erection, piling and ground preparation and earth works
- Ability to help establish a civil design/field engineering working relationship
- Ability to create communication channel with the Project Engineering dept / civil engineering dept
- Ability to convince internal and external stake holders on achieving common decisions
- Responsible for quantity take-off, control, tracking, reporting ,and forecasting for civil discipline when required
- Ability to specify the civil criteria for construction of temporary construction facilities as required
- Review and advise on the preparation of requisitions for field procured materials, material substitution, services, and equipment such as reinforcing steel and platework
- Review material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct civil materials as specified
- Coordinate and monitor the interfaces for civil data exchange to support the construction automation plan and the project controls program requirements
- Help to develop and manage the civil construction quality program when required
- Coordinate with Field Supervision and Subcontractors to plan/support construction schedules
- Plan and recommend civil procedures to be implemented by Field Supervision to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications
Help to implement controls over variables affecting civil installation job progress such as steel erection and platework receipt
- Ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment and that other corporate programs are fully utilized
- Review major subcontract changes and deviations regarding the civil discipline and represent the company in major contractual discussions and negotiations when required
- Ability to conduct inspection and prepare test plans when required
- Ability to review risk assessments and method statements for the control of the works
Specific requirements
15+ years of directly related experience and a minimum of 10 additional years of related work experience
Typically, incumbents have an advanced degree and 12 years or more of related experience
**Skills**:Good verbal and written communications in English
- Experience in high rise buildings, residences, offices, mixed use complexes

B. Sc. in Civil / Structural Engineering
