Aramco, one of the world's leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, and international contract logistics provider DHL Supply Chain have announced the signing of a shareholders' agreement for a to establish a New Company for Procurement and Logistics Hub in Saudi Arabia, to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability. It would be the region's first such hub catering to customers in the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The joint venture aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its own Affiliates. And in the long term would be all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia and the ultimate goal is to reach the MENA region in future.

Currently, we are seeking a dynamic person to take on the role of Automation Expert, to be hired for this JV based in Al Khobar.

**Objective**:

- Coordinate the implementation of warehouse machinery automation, digitalization & robotics projects in line with the solution design strategy that will provide cost benefit to the business and customer through design and execution of solutions in line with overall business strategy, product development, industry and market needs, company guidelines and policies.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Develop an implementation-ready layout/fit-out concept considering business requirements/investment/productivity/time of implementation that is based on benchmarks & best practices.
- Validate warehouse design concepts to deliver the most effective machinery automation/robotics solutions.
- Lead the automation work stream with suppliers, Company Operations, and other Company functions and coordinate activities from detailed design workshops, commissioning, and testing to final acceptance.
- Share the knowledge and skills of Automation design, Innovation Design, and Implementation of Automation within the community to support the automation agenda within the Company.
- Experience in designing, testing, and commissioning of automated systems.
- Vast knowledge in automated systems (exposure to the latest technologies in the warehousing industry).
- Ability to understand logistics processes and logical processes including integration requirements from various automated systems (good knowledge of IT requirements).
- Good analytical skills.
- Problem solving capabilities.
- Project management skills such as ability to work in a cross functional teams and good communication skills (influence and manage stakeholders).
- Other softer skills such as the ability to work under pressure (tight deadline environment).
- Understand customer and key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by, customers, and stakeholders.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with customers and business stakeholders.

**Qualification**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification (preference Industrial Engineering, mechanical engineering, Instrumentation and Controls) with more than 4+ years’ experience in warehouse design or operations.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Warehouse layout and fit-out concepts.
- Warehouse machinery automation and robotics solutions.
- Logistics and logical processes, including integration requirements for various automated systems, and a good grasp of IT requirements in the context of automation.
- Analyze complex problems and identify effective automation solutions fitting customer needs.
- Project management and coordination skills.
- Develop and implement implementation-ready layouts and fit-out concepts by leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices.
- Share knowledge and skills related to automation and innovation design and implementation of automated solutions.
