Barker Langham’s Business Operations Teams

Barker Langhams Operations team is dedicated to coordinating various facets of the business processes, focusing on managing change and creating a unified and viable organisation. With a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, the team works collaboratively across the business to ensure smooth day to day functions. The Administration Team’s work is focused on ensuring all Barker Langham team members are supported from the moment they join Barker Langham and that they have the systems and processes needed to support their work and personal wellbeing. The teams’ proactive approach contributes significantly to the overall operational success and Barker Langham overarching goals.

Purpose of the Role

Working across the Business Operations Teams, the role of the Operations Administrator is to support Barker Langham’s business as we scale up our operations in Saudi Arabia. The role provides practical support to our Senior Management and Leadership team members in the Kingdom, across a range of operational functions, including Administration, Operations, People and Culture (HR), Finance, and IT. The initial focus is on supporting the establishment and development of our business hub in Riyadh and our team members as they deliver projects across the Kingdom.

**Responsibilities**:
The Operations Administrator will support and coordinate with the People and Culture, Operations, Administration and Finance teams. They will be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment, coordinating important events, and supporting the business operations and team members in KSA.

The Operations Administrator contributes significantly to the effective coordination and management of the office environment and serves as a key point of contact for team members' concerns and inquiries. In addition to supporting the different teams, they also provide administrative support to the senior team in KSA.

The Operations Administrator is an active member of the Business Operations Ecosystem and other company-wide initiatives, and contributes positively to the company culture and team dynamic.

Duties

Office Management - approximately 40% of time
- Acting as the primary contact for all activities concerning the KSA office
- Organising a productive work environment, including ordering and monitoring the consumption of office supplies (refreshments, stationery, etc) and liaising with the Practice Managers to monitor office equipment
- Supporting visitors to the KSA office, booking onward transfers / transport, accommodation and logistics of travel with the support of the wider Administration Team
- Providing advice and support to visiting BLers ensuring they have a productive and enjoyable visit to KSA
- Organising in-house or off-site meetings and team building activities for KSA and visiting BL team members when appropriate
- Organising travel requirements for the KSA team with the support of the wider Administration Team in London and Dubai
- Liaising with facilities management to ensure a clean, safe and secure workplace
- Escalating and following up on issues that require further support (IT Helpdesk, Practice Managers etc)
