Associate, Diversified Infra Investment Management, Riyadh

**About this role**

BlackRock's Diversified Infrastructure Investment team ("BGIF") is seeking an Associate to join its global team based in the Riyadh office. This position will play a key role in driving the execution and oversight of direct equity investments in infrastructure projects and companies, with a broad scope including the energy, digital and transportation & logistics sectors. The team in London and Riyadh covers existing and potential investments across EMEA. The associate will also spend time in the US to participate in firm-wide activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Direct Investments: driving the due diligence, structuring, negotiation and closing of direct investment opportunities in the global energy infrastructure sector.

Portfolio Management: ongoing management of completed investments and, in due course, exit processes

**Knowledge/Experience**:

- Two to four years of experience in a professional environment with strong exposure to the infrastructure sector, ideally partially obtained in a buy-side environment.
- Strong financial analytical, teamworking and communication skills required.

**Skills/Qualifications**:

- Commercial, analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail
- Risk assessment and mitigation capabilities.
- Project management and organization skills
- Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills capable of dealing with complex, multicultural teams with internal and external members.
- Ability to effectively distil complex concepts into clear and simple themes
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates entrepreneurial spirit and willing to assume additional responsibilities
