Make sure gym patrons are utilizing the equipment properly by supervising them regularly.

Create challenging workouts that inspire clients to keep up their regular exercise.

Conduct orientations for new members at the gym.

Ensure comprehensive fitness evaluations for clients

Create a customized fitness program for each person.

Offer a group of clients training based on the gym requirements.

Utilize an electronic membership and reservations database to run the gym.

Maintain and clean the gym's equipment frequently.
- Respond to phone and reception questions.
- Discuss matters such as equipment upkeep, class schedules, and other issues with the staff and clients.
- Determine which clients may require extra assistance so that they can achieve their objectives.
- Perform simple first aid.
- Teach new users of gym machines and equipment how to use them safely and effectively.
- Evaluate the client’s current level of fitness and medical history to create a personalized workout plan.
- Recognize the ideal workouts for each muscle group as well as the motions that should be avoided to avoid pain or damage.
- Show how to use the equipment and execute exercises properly.
- Encourage and motivate your clients to stick to their fitness goals.
- Modify a client’s workout program as necessary to ensure sustained improvement.
- Keep track of a client’s heart rate, blood pressure, and other vital signs while exercising.
- Give clients advice and support to help them overcome any challenges they may face.
- Maintain thorough records of a client’s development
- Educate clients on matters like injury prevention and good eating habits.
- Assist exercisers in creating workout plans that suit their unique demands and objectives.
- Determine a person’s current level of fitness, then give them an activity program that will help them advance.
- Make sure that everyone who uses the gym exercises safely.
- Track the activities and progress of members to make sure they are accomplishing their objectives.
- Assist members in achieving their goals by offering personal training services.
- Assist new members with membership registration, personal training appointment scheduling, and other customer service tasks.
- Conduct group exercise sessions in Pilates or aerobics
- Determine and address improper workout form
- Clean equipment after every use to avoid the spread of germs or bacteria

- High school or equivalent (required)

- 5 y: 3 years (required)
