The PR Manager will work closely with the Communications Director and other members of the Communications and Marketing team to develop and roll out a brand and content communications plan, driving successful brand awareness, audience development, and public stature for the venture within KSA. The role will assist with the early development, launch strategy, and subsequent management of communications and promotion for JAX Media’s publishing proposition, with a focus on making the brand famous domestically, respected internationally, and achieving target KPIs, growing audience, and fulfilling stakeholder expectations in KSA. The PR Manager will work closely with domestic and international teams on the development of the JAX Media brand, and will take an active role in managing agency, media, and promotional partnerships required to deliver against brand and comms objectives, as well as navigating local market regulations, sensitivities, and considerations.

JAX is a joint venture between VICE and MBC Group. JAX Media’s primary directive is to create a leading platform for quality digital Arabic language content centred on modern culture anchored in Saudi Arabia. While this role will focus on the delivery of the JAX Media proposition, it should also support and responsibly represent VICE’s growing presence in KSA more broadly.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee and facilitate JAX Media PR strategy and activation in KSA- Serve as a point of contact for press, media, agencies, content creators, key talent, and government entities in aid of successful communications- Support brand and content development creatively and strategically, with a focus on maximising audience impact- Provide market-specific insight, landscape assessment, and strategy to optimise development and activation of JAX Media’s publishing proposition- Maintain strong knowledge of and relationships with the KSA cultural, media, and creative ecosystem- Support the recruitment of talent and identification of potential partners- Take responsibility for successful delivery of PR plans and performance against targets and KPIs set by the Communications Director and General Manager- Ensure that JAX Media communications deliver to the highest standards of creativity, quality, and integrity- Serve as a liaison and ambassador for JAX Media and VICE Media in KSA

QUALIFICATIONS- Fluent in Arabic and English- Proven experience delivering creative and cultural communications in KSA- 5+ years of relevant work experience- Strong knowledge of KSA and GCC cultural landscape- Experience navigating cultural and governmental considerations in KSA
