A little taste of your day-to-day:
Our hotels bring people together. We’re searching for a Banquet Coordinator capable of juggling bookings, building strong client relationships and pulling together truly unforgettable events, meetings and conferences.

Every day is different at IHG, but you’ll mostly be:

- Ensures team spirit and team work is in place
- Completes opening and closing duties of the area of responsibilities
- Completes all requisitions and stockings of the goods daily/weekly
- Completes work orders for the maintenance and related
- To assist in the training of employees ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
- To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. Ensure you encourage them to maintain good relationships with their colleagues and all other departments.
- To ensure that all employees report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire and name tag at all times and to ensure they maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department appearance standards.
- To ensure that all employees provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.

To assist in the building of an efficient team of employees by taking an active interest in their welfare, safety and development. Ensure you encourage them to maintain good relationships with their colleagues and all other departments

What We need from you:

- Previous groups, meeting and events experience in a hotel
- Passion for providing excellent client experiences and client engagement
- Confidence in proactively preventing problems and ability to handle service recovery following any complaints
- Love of working in a fast-paced and motivated team with a desire to take the next step in your career
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional administrative and time-management skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team and learn new things
