**Responsibilities**

**Dimension 1: Innovation Center In charge**
- In charge of running innovation centre on-going basis while maintaining world class health & safety standards.
- Develop key strategic initiatives and provide for long-term sustainable growth of the MENA-Pak businesses that will lead to agile, cost effective and customer centric innovation and renovation programs.
- Liaises externally to bring key insights from Academia & Govt. research centres to pursue innovation and renovation strategies.
- Proactively engages with other Innovation Centres in Pepsico and identifies and deploys the best and latest practices in innovation management along all stages of the innovation process.
- Establishes and monitors Innovation Center operation processes and success metrics (e. g. projects, budgets, and revenue) as one-stop contact point to uncover solutions for needs and future trends
- Lead the renovation strategy for products across MENA-Pak to meet both internal WWP guardrails and external commitments.

**Dimension 2: Product Development lead for emerging snacks**
- Product development lead for culinary led innovations for MENA-Pakistan under strategic growth platforms framework.
- Technical leadership support for select AOP and PSP initiatives from Idea Hopper to Launch and Learn.
- Develop product against Consumer and Business KPIs by leveraging available resources including pilot plants, factory equipment, supplier’s technical assets.
- Develop project briefs/Global Innovation Briefs and seek cross functional alignment (especially Marketing and Supply Chain).

**Qualifications**
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a Science or Engineering related discipline. PhD will be preferred.
- Top Notch Communication & Presentation Skills in English & Arabic
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in FMCG R&D and/or Research Center covering product & process development ideally within Food & Beverage.
- Experience of designing and running innovation centre will be plus.

**Competencies**
- Understanding of manufacturing relating to PepsiCo products and processes
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and distil into meaningful information e.g. interpreting consumer insights, experimental design and statistical inference
- Strong project management skills to effectively drive a complex project
- Capable to frequently taste/sample products, discern product design/flavour attributes, and provide qualitative feedback to functional peers, cross functional partners, and suppliers.
- Seasoning development capability is desirable to drive technical competencies within MENA-Pak and across the flavour function.
- Deputise as required for R&D Directors to represent R&D interest at key forums (e.g. Foods Innovation Council, operations reviews).
- Passion for creativity and innovation within a commercially/scientific environment
- Strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, drives continuous improvement of products and processes, and demonstrates a high degree of intellectual curiosity
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a broader global team.
- Demonstrated competency to effectively influence individuals/teams/organization using solid communication and collaboration skills. Stakeholder management
