Home Healthcare Nurse/ Caregiver

1. Provide nursing skill care to the patient as per the care plan such as; bathing, changing clothes, brushing of teeth and cleaning of dentures, toileting and other elimination needs and simple hair care, skin care, nails.
2. Monitor vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration and temperature and communicate with the physician regarding the patient’s needs and report any changes in the patient’s condition on a regular basis.
3. Support/ assist with activities of daily living and other personal care tasks including lifting, transferring and positioning of clients, assisting with oral and/ or tube feeding, simple wood dressing.
4. Support/ assistance with medication including; medication reminders and monitoring of medication compliance.
5. Perform simple maintenance exercises as prescribed and trained by registered Therapists.
6. Trained and experienced in community care preferably in Geriatrics, Dementia and/ or end-of-life care.
7. Time management
- Caregivers are schedule keepers. Have to be there to make sure that the clients get up on time, make sure that the medication are taken on schedule, and clients get to the appointments on time.
8. Responsible, caring and flexible individuals with experience in household management such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, trash removal.
9. Trained in simple culinary activities such as; cooking, washing dishes, and meal preparation.
10. Report unexpected changes of the client’s physical, mental and emotional health to the family. 11. Completes an initial assessment of patient and family to determine home care needs in collaboration with physician orders.
12. Prepare clinical and progressive notes and provides a complete physician assessment and history of current and previous illness(s).
13. Develop and initiates a plan of care and risk assessment which establishes goals based on physician orders and nursing diagnosis which should incorporate evidenced based therapeutic, preventive rehabilitative nursing actions. Includes the patient and family in the planning process.
14. Regularly re
- evaluates patient nursing needs and make necessary revision to the care plan as patient status and needs change.
15. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures. 16. Coordinates services and refers to the Respiratory Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Medical Social Worker for those patient requiring their specialized skills.
17. Build relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concern as well, responding to the distress patients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of distress.
18. Counsels and educates the patient and the family in meeting nursing and related need while honoring the needs of the patients.
19. Ensure that arrangements for equipment and other necessary items and services are available.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 1 year proven experience as Caregiver
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of emergency care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- Flexible to work in any occupation and any location within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Willing to handle 1 or more patients
- Willing for stay in duty
Willing to handle basic household choirs for the patient only
- Bachelor Degree or other 6 months Diploma from a Caregiver program
- Between 23 to 39 years’ old
- Excellent English communication skills both verbal and written

- Experience Certificates as Caregiver (from date to date)
- Passport Copy
- Training Certificate (if available)
- SCFHS License (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) (If available)
