**POSITION: Deputy Director**

dynamic and passionate Deputy Director (male or female) to join our esteemed team in Riyadh

**LOCATION: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Core Duties
- To actively participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, in the contribution towards

and oversight of the strategic direction and leadership of the college.
- To significantly contribute to and enact the vision and values of the college and the Trust.
- To provide pastoral support with regard to the college Intervention Procedures.
- Report to the advisory group and, if applicable, the Trust Board of Directors, on areas for which

the post holder has responsibility, at the request of the Academic Director, GM, or respective

chairs.
- To take on any additional responsibilities and duties, commensurate with the post, as directed

by the Academic Director.
- To ensure awareness, promotion of, and compliance with, all college policies including Health

and Safety, Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity.
- Actively support and attend college events.

Teaching Learning & Academic Duties
- To work with the Senior Leadership Team and other college staff to bring about a continuous

improvement in the quality of teaching and learning to ensure excellent outcomes for students

and take appropriate action where shortcomings are identified.
- To lead the development of academic literacy across the curriculum and in small group study

support interventions.
- To lead the college’s instructional coaching program.
- To deliver the Teaching, Learning, and Assessment strategy at the college level.
- To focus on individual teacher CPD requirements as per the process.
- To be the learning walk lead and establish whole college themes.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance systems in relation

to teaching, learning, and assessment.
- To coordinate best practices across the college, sharing this with the other LCI Colleges.
- To develop a college peer observation process.
- To lead on college marking and feedback.
- To take responsibility for school areas, providing effective line management.
- To further develop the use of ILT to enhance the college’s Directed Independent Learning

provision.
- To contribute to the planning and delivery of college CPD relating to teaching, learning, and

assessment.
- To develop teacher, student, and parental understanding of the pedagogy and its implications

for effective teaching, learning, and assessment.
- To provide strategic leadership for the revision launch.
- To ensure that Fundamental Saudi Values, equality and diversity, and employability are well

embedded in curriculum delivery.

Leadership & Management of People
- Take on senior link line management responsibilities for a number of academic departments.
- Provide strategic leadership and direct line management of the college’s instructional coaching

and learning-to-learn program.
- Deputizing for other members of the senior team as appropriate and required.
- Providing a visible presence to support staff, students, parents, and the local community as

required.
- Carrying out performance management of key middle leaders.

Accountability
- Advising and reporting to the Academic Director as required.
- To perform other duties determined in discussion with the Principal.
- Contribute towards the college’s Self-Assessment Report and Quality Improvement Plan.
- Developing close productive and purposeful relationships between the college, key

stakeholders, and the local community.
- To make a significant contribution to a more specific whole college responsibility, as

determined.

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:
To be considered for this role, you MUST possess the following qualifications and attributes:

- Bachelor of Education (essential) and Business Administration (desirable).
- Have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the post-secondary, technical, and/or

vocational (TVET) sector
- Have a minimum of 3 years of Senior Management/Leadership/Director-Level experience in the

post-secondary, technical, and/or vocational (TVET) sector in home country.
