**A little taste of your day-to-day**:

- Work in close partnership with managers and directors across the organization to understand the development needs for all employees and proactively deliver a schedule of innovative learning solutions to support these needs.
- Develop a strong understanding of Holiday Inn strategic and organizationalobjectives (from the Business plan) and create a learning strategy, delivering programmers and solutions that are aligned with our needs.
- Benchmark our current skills requirement, identify strengths, areas of risk and develop an understanding of the skill we need now, and will need in the future.
- Acting as the go to person at Holiday Inn for anyone with questions or queries regarding their learning and personal development plans.
- To design, develop face-to face and online learning and support materials to facilitate independent development across core areas of competence as appropriate.
- Develop and manage our induction programmer for new recruits and oversee mandatory Holiday Innand site-specific training.
- Work across the business to develop and understanding of the professional qualifications / mandatory qualifications required for our staff.
- Develop and coordinate our L&D Forum, ensure staff are engaged and involved with L&D initiatives.
- Identify management and leadership training requirements to meet business needs. Support leadership development and help to manage succession planning.
- Design and deliver core internal training including the corporate induction, utilizing the support of our HR colleagues or external providers where appropriate.
- Have oversight of the allocated training budgets and carry out appropriate monitoring/reporting on usage and chargeability by departments.
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to establish and roll out a quality improvement programmer.
- Ensuring that the business maximizes the Apprenticeship Levy to its fullest extent.
- Work with the Head of HR to create a framework for career routes and succession planning for staff at Holiday Inn.
- Taking responsibility for developing and maintain staff CPD logs - produce quarterly update report for SLT.
- Communicate a regular internal training blog/bulletin to all staff - showcase our work.
- Building relationships with 3rd party training providers.
- Ensure the health and safety of our staff is at the forefront of every element of our work.

**What we need from you**:

- Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience delivering training and learning interventions.
- Previous experience of training design and development.
- Excellent oral, written communication and influencing skills, and the ability to present to large audiences.
- Actively develops self and keeps updated on new approaches in learning and development.
