Your Opportunity
The purpose of the project under this contract is to provide consulting and management support to a Ministry in KSA with the necessary tools to manage and maintain assets and facilities, through improving activities to meet service requirements, developing business strategies that ensure reducing costs of the life cycle of assets, and improving practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness. It includes but not limited to long-term management of assets, facilities, resources, and services to improve performance, reduce costs and manage the life cycle. In brief, the scope is for the provision of consulting, technical, management and administrative support for facilities and asset management works.
We are looking for a Senior Hard FM Management Engineer to create Facilities Strategy Roadmaps and plans in support of the Ministry’s transformation programme as well as management of outsourced consultants and O&M contractors on behalf of the client.
The Senior Hard FM Management Engineer will report into the FM Performance Monitoring Manager and will be based in Riyadh.
Key Accountabilities Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for building systems in Saudi Arabia, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and critical infrastructure. Assess facility conditions and assets, prioritizing maintenance based on lifecycle costs and risk assessments. Lead engineering projects from design to commissioning, ensuring compliance with local standards. Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and recommending corrective actions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors for seamless operations. Maintain accurate engineering documentation for facility staff. Analyze performance data to optimize system reliability. Oversee project delivery and compliance with regulations and standards. Ensure regulatory compliance through inspections and audits. Support emergency response and business continuity planning.
Specific Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required Practical experience in KSA and Public Sectors preferred Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience required Deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing large volumes of data Knowledge of strategic reports, models, and industry standards Understanding of facilities management principles and methodologies Familiarity with asset management principles and methodologies Proficiency in creating and maintaining technical documentation Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Professional liaison with internal and external parties Commitment to self-development and team contribution Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and strategic abilities
