Riyadh, Saudi Arabia King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre Full time

Provides administrative support in manuscript handling and tracking using the web-based manuscript management system for publications. Assists the Senior Editor in copy editing manuscripts and assists in desktop publishing.

**Essential Responsibilities and Duties**:
1. Assists in manuscript handling and tracking through web-based manuscript management system, communicating with authors and reviewers.

2. Checks new submissions, inputs new manuscripts and image files, inputs reviewing editor selections and reviews, so as to maintain overall functioning of the system.

3. Communicates with editor-in-chief, editorial board members, reviewers and authors to review publication contents.

4. Provides copy-editing support as necessary.

5. Assists in layout of articles and preparation of images. Prepares files sent to printer. Coordinates with printer's representative as necessary.

6. Attends biweekly editorial board meetings, prepare notes decisions on manuscripts for the minutes.

7. Collaborates and coordinates with the Saudi Research and Marketing Group as needed.

8. Handles any other administrative duties related to publications and related materials.

9. Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.

10. Follows all Hospital-related policies and procedures.

**Education**:
Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, or any related discipline is required.

**Experience Required**:
One (1) year of related experience, or successful completion of six (6) months under Saudi Career Development Program (SCDP) is required.

**Other Requirements(Certificates)**:

- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Good organizational skills are essential.
