Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Social Media Content Planner to join our team in South Africa. As a Freelance Social Media Content Planner, you will be responsible for developing engaging and effective social media content strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Development:
    • Develop comprehensive social media content strategies aligned with client objectives, brand guidelines, and target audience insights.
    • Conduct thorough social listening and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.
    • Define content pillars, themes, and formats that resonate with the target audience and drive engagement.
    • Create detailed content calendars outlining publishing schedules, content types, and platform distribution.
  • Creative Ideation:
    • Brainstorm and develop innovative and engaging content ideas across various formats, including text, images, videos, GIFs, stories, and interactive elements.
    • Collaborate with internal creative teams (copywriters, designers, video editors) to ensure high-quality content production aligned with the strategy.
    • Stay updated on emerging social media trends, platforms, and technologies to continuously innovate content approaches.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure content effectiveness, audience engagement, and campaign performance.
    • Generate regular reports with actionable insights to optimize content strategy and demonstrate return on investment (ROI).
    • Utilize social media analytics tools to gather data and extract meaningful insights.
  • Client Communication:
    • Present content strategies, calendars, and reports to clients in a clear and concise manner.
    • Collaborate effectively with clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and ensure alignment throughout the content creation process.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in social media content planning or a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media content strategies.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, X, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.) and their respective algorithms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.
