Job Description

KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the environmental impacts of construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and developing sustainability initiatives that align with the company's vision.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Validate the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to ensure it meets all project requirements and submit it to relevant authorities.
  • Conduct annual internal audits on EMP implementation and provide corrective actions to Construction Supervision Consultants.
  • Review and validate pre-construction surveys conducted by Contractors and establish processes to monitor, measure, control, and report on environmental issues.
  • Lead coordination meetings with Construction Supervision Consultants and Contractors to discuss environmental and sustainability reports.
  • Develop and manage incident reports on environmental compliance of construction activities.
  • Coordinate submission documentation and required applications to regulatory authorities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering or similar field.
  • 4 years total experience, minimum 2 years' experience in construction site management of environmental issues, preferably in the GCC region.
  • Experience in strategic planning, development control, liaison with regulatory authorities, and CEMP implementation and auditing.
  • Proven track record of producing weekly and monthly reports demonstrating level of compliance of consultants and contractors.
