Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage Oracle E-Business Suite components, including the database, application tier, and web tier.
  • Set up and configure EBS environments with proper database and application configurations.
  • Apply Oracle EBS patches using adpatch or Oracle's AutoPatch utilities.
  • Manage Oracle EBS version upgrades, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth migration.
  • Clone Oracle EBS environments for testing, development, or backup purposes.
  • Refresh EBS environments, maintaining data consistency across different environments.
  • Manage the Oracle database that supports EBS, including backups, recovery, database tuning, and monitoring.
  • Configure, tune, and troubleshoot the Concurrent Processing system.
  • Monitor concurrent requests and adjust parameters for efficient use of system resources.
  • Proactively monitor EBS environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to detect performance bottlenecks.
  • Tune both the database and application tiers for performance optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards by applying security patches and reviewing the security of the database and application layers.
