Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our team at NOV Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting maintenance technicians in maintaining plant equipment, utilities, and grounds to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with maintenance supervisors to establish programs to eliminate downtime in trouble areas.
  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, and other tasks as required.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as repairing broken parts and checking control panels and gear boxes.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing bulb lights, chain grease, and AC filters in the facility as necessary.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations and maintenance projects.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical tools is required.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools is essential.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and drawings is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity are necessary for the role.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Comply with all NOV Inc. policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • School diploma or technical mechanical education is required.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as an industrial technician, preferably in the Middle East.
  • Good English language skills are required, with the ability to communicate with ease.
  • Knowledge working with quality management systems (QMS) is an advantage.
