Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Officer to join our team at eFinancialCareers. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for operationalizing strategic directions from our Steerco and Chief Data Officer through the Data Governance Council and Compliance Officer.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring the synergy of the Council with the Steerco and Stewardship Community, while communicating risks, issues, decisions, and action items from the Council to the Steering Committee and facilitating resolution.

You will also be responsible for resolving issues/risks and taking decisions at the Council level to ensure rapid resolution at a strategic and tactical level. Additionally, you will manage GIB's initiatives and implementation roadmap for Data Governance programs, including addressing GIB's requirements, monitoring progress of these programs, reporting on their KPIs, and periodically conducting compliance assessments.

Furthermore, you will orchestrate policies, processes, standards, and rules required to comply with regulatory requirements by taking support from the Compliance Officer. You will also team up with the Data Quality Officer to translate executive directions from the Steerco and CDO to strategic and tactical aspects of Data Quality Management through DQ Strategy, Plan, Policy, processes, standards, and rules across GIB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Data Governance policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage Data Quality initiatives and implementation roadmap
  • Collaborate with Data Quality Officer to translate executive directions to strategic and tactical aspects of Data Quality Management
  • Orchestrate policies, processes, standards, and rules required to comply with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Data Governance principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, or a related field
