About the RoleWe are seeking a Design Manager - Hotel to join our dynamic team, leading the design and development of high-end hotel projects. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in hotel design, a strong leadership presence, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Design Process: Ensure alignment with Qiddiya's vision and operational standards.
- Collaborate with Consultants: Work closely with architects, landscape architects, and other consultants to achieve cohesive and complementary design outcomes.
- Presentation and Communication: Prepare and present design concepts, schematics, and detailed proposals to stakeholders and management.
- Design Review and Assessment: Evaluate all design submissions, ensuring adherence to industry trends, best practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Facilitate workshops and meetings with project teams and stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure design objectives are met.
- Project Management: Monitor design progress and align project timelines with operational requirements and budget constraints.
- Innovation and Trend Analysis: Stay updated with trends in hospitality design and implement innovative concepts that enhance the overall guest experience.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor junior design staff, fostering a creative and collaborative working environment.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Experience: 6-9 years of professional experience in hotel design, with a strong portfolio showcasing completed projects.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working with high-end hospitality brands preferred.
- Design Expertise: Deep understanding of design processes and methods from concept to implementation.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in architectural and design software.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive results and manage teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of sustainability practices in hotel design is a plus.
