We are seeking a highly skilled BHS Automation Maintenance Technician to join our team at Vanderlande Industries GmbH. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our baggage handling systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on helix-sorter and other BHS equipment.
- Solve errors on electrical and mechanical equipment of the automated baggage handling system.
- Carry out electrical-mechanical corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance of the BHS is carried out properly and in a timely manner.
- Solve any errors or faults in a proactive manner.
- Middle level of vocational and/or technical education.
- Electromechanical (EM) specialist.
- Able to read and understand EM schematics and/or drawings.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as BHS automation maintenance technician.
- Minimum 4 years' experience as BHS Sorter technician (preferred experience in similar working environment).
- Preferred experience on helix-sorter.
- Ability to work under stressful situations and pressure.
- Communicate, read, and write the English language (mid to high level).
- Flexibility and capability to take-over or handover work to the next shift team.
- Controlling baggage flows and correcting flow disturbances.
- Quick and rapid response to reported errors or failures.
- Electromechanical fault-finding capability and restoration.
- Metrics and/or multi-meter signal measurement knowledge.
- Knowledge on BHS controls equipment.
This is a shift-based position, requiring flexibility and ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
