AWS Global Sales (AGS) drives revenue, adoption, and growth from small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including the public sector in India. Our team works closely with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

This job opening is for a Solutions Architect role within the Public sector team of AWS, India. We work with Central government ministries, State and Local governments, public sector units, education institutions, EdTechs, nonprofits, and healthcare. Our vision is to help public institutions in India make a significant impact on citizens' lives by taking a technology generation leap using AWS cloud services within domains like Skilling, Smart Infrastructure, Healthcare, and Inclusion.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Expert to join our Public sector team in India. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. They should also have experience in architecting solutions, pre-sales engineering or solutions architecture for technology/software sales.

The successful candidate will partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption and revenue. They will establish credibility and build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Partner with the sales team to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption and revenue.
  2. Establish credibility and build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  3. Participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
  4. Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS SA community.
