About This Role

This Senior AP Accountant position requires a highly skilled professional to join our accounting team at Giza Systems KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing invoices and payment requests, and performing daily accounting entries.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for petty cash and cash-on-hand, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  2. Review and verify invoices and payment requests from various departments, ensuring authorization and allowability.
  3. Perform daily accounting entries on our system, recording invoices and reconciling general ledger entries.
  4. Reconcile prepaid expenses, amortizations, advances, and accrued expenses, ensuring accurate representation in our financial statements.
  5. Prepare journal entries for local and foreign petty cash and cash-on-hand transactions, maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy.
  6. Reconcile payments and prepare analysis of petty cash, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  7. Review temporary and permanent cash in advance requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Daily audit of employee expense claims, verifying authenticity and authorizing payment when necessary.
  9. Assist in month-end/year-end closing, producing timely and accurate financial reports.
  10. Monthly follow-up on petty cash and permanent/temp loans settlements, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing losses.
  11. Perform monthly review of vendor statements, identifying discrepancies and taking corrective action.
  12. Review all LoBs/Departments' payment requests, ensuring they are allowable and authorized, and process payment vouchers accordingly.
  13. Review and reconcile all advances given to LoBs/Departments or employees, maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability.
  14. Analyze all expenses per LoB, comparing with budget reports and identifying areas for cost reduction.
  15. Prepare and reconcile monthly prepaid expense statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  16. Send periodic confirmations to employees, ensuring the company's payables balance matches with their financial custody.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and Oracle systems.
