About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Support and Operations Engineer to join our team at Giza Systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to internal stakeholders and customers, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and processes to streamline system deployment, monitoring, and eliminate toil/reduce operational overhead.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system development and engineering, to communicate customer feedback and improvements.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure it is running smoothly without any issues or performance KPIs violations.
  • Share operation-related reports and ensure all day-to-day data are loaded successfully with quality measures.
  • Ensure all system backups are taken successfully and participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance technical skills.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a system support engineer or DevOps role, with experience in managing several types of systems like cloud-based services and infrastructure.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows O.S administration and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of microservices-based architecture applications.
  • Experience with Elastic stack.
  • Good knowledge about Kafka.
  • Knowledge about RabbitMQ, Redis, MinIO.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of Kubernetes, container orchestrators, and managers.
  • Experience with database administration (e.g., Postgres).

Education

B.Sc. in any discipline and an advanced degree is a plus.
