About the Role

MBC Group is seeking a highly skilled Product Assurance Analyst to join our quality assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with technology teams to deliver high-quality user-facing products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaboration and Support
    • Work closely with technology teams to support and maintain our current products and services.
  • Software Assurance
    • Ensure the quality and reliability of Set Top Boxes, Mobile applications, and web platforms.
  • Product Development
    • Contribute to the development of new products and tooling as required.
  • Compliance and Documentation
    • Verify that products and services comply with product and technical requirements.
    • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance
    • Execute functional and regression testing for different projects and products.
    • Record and report defects.
    • Verify and validate fixed defects or previous failures.
    • Analyze and assess the severity of defects.
  • Process Improvement
    • Contribute to the improvement of current procedures to optimize processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Attend and contribute to meetings and agile ceremonies.
    • Contribute ideas to improve product quality.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Technical Skills
    • Prior experience with front-end, back-end, and database technologies (Web, Mobile, TVs, or STBs).
    • Understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
    • Experience with creating, maintaining, and executing detailed cases based on business and technical requirements.
    • Ability to test and investigate back-end APIs and services using tools such as Postman.
    • Experience with ticketing and documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail.
    • Ability to create defect tickets in a standard format with clear detail for further investigation or fixing.
  • Bonus Requirements
    • Understanding or experience with broadcast TV technologies – DVB DTT/DSAT.
    • Knowledge of Android TV / Google TV.
    • Understanding of modern app architecture – client apps, RESTful APIs, cloud services.
