Job Summary:

The Sales Support Representative will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, collaborating with various departments to respond to inquiries. This role will work closely with the Sales leadership team to drive key initiatives and contribute to Flowserve's goals and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate and collaborate across functional and business platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Team Player: Promote a positive and professional working atmosphere, challenging the status quo to improve and drive an exceptional customer experience.
  4. Commercial Experience: Leverage experience in sales or customer service in an engineered manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in administering commercial and/or government contracts.
  5. Influencing and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate success in influencing people through effective collaboration, problem-solving, and relational engagement.
  6. Quote Coordination: Lead coordination efforts on applicable aftermarket quotes, ensuring close collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
  7. Customer Specifications: Review customer specifications and documents to apply current Flowserve technical and commercial requirements.
  8. Proposal Development: Drive daily tactical customer proposals, support strategic offerings, and identify sales win-back opportunities.
  9. Quotation Performance: Partner with Site Hubs to drive quotation performance within the region and across aligned product sites, leveraging quoting tools for prioritization, cycle times, and minimization of rework.
  10. Proposal Management: Generate high-quality, on-time, value-priced proposals to facilitate order fulfillment, managing and monitoring the proposal throughout the bid cycle.
  11. Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of pump applications and types, as well as parts, programs, and processes to drive solutions for valued end-user customers.
  12. Forecast Accuracy: Identify and develop key actions with the sales leadership team to achieve forecast accuracy, addressing gaps in performance and preparing QBR data analytics.
  13. Record Management: Maintain current, accurate, and organized records of sales training, organization charts, and other critical information needed to manage sales engagement.
  14. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Sales leadership team to execute and deliver continuous improvement projects to meet objectives.
  15. Reporting and Analysis: Receive and compile weekly sales reports, support 30-day/quarterly sales forecast and monthly outlook processes, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  16. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and excellent organizational skills, able to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines with little supervision.
Requirements:
  • Verbal Communication: Utilize clear and effective verbal communication skills to express ideas and request actions.
  • Industry Experience: Possess industry experience related to pumps/rotating equipment.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Leverage experience with customer relationship management in the power generation and utility industries.
  • Sales Force Experience: Experience with Sales Force.
  • Pricing and Contract Review: Experience in pricing, contract review, and ERP administration.
  • Education: BS or BA Degree in a relevant field and/or 0-2 years relevant experience.
