About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Affairs Specialist to join our team at the Islamic Development Bank. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and support to our staff and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day legal support to our staff and other departments
  • Assist in the negotiation, reviewing, drafting, clearing, and amendment of legal documents and agreements related to our activities
  • Develop and implement legal operations policies, procedures, and programs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of periodic reports as per management requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in international/islamic banking and finance, trade finance, corporate law, development law, and public international law
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred; Master's degree in Law is equivalent to 2 years of experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in French is mandatory
