Job Summary:
PACE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSSE Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on all HSSE related matters, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HSSE Director/Manager to develop and implement HSSE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Drive the education and training of Pace employees on HSSE management system documentation, contractor building and road safety strategies, and HSSE programs.
- Verify contractor HSSE closeout actions and escalate non-compliance with sites HSSE program in accordance with contract documents.
- Facilitate and document formal HSSE assessments/risk assessments, collect required evidence, and verify the successful implementation of HSSE risk controls.
- Drive continuous improvement through regular HSSE inspections and trend analysis, identifying necessary HSSE measures to be placed on site as preparedness to any potential emergency.
- Produce project HSSE statistics and KPI information, confirming all incidents are investigated thoroughly with determination of the correct root causes and corrective and preventative actions.
- Promote internal project HSSE awareness through regular training sessions, remaining up to date on HSSE regulations and actively networking with other safety professionals.
- Assist the client with all aspects of project HSSE, incorporating all HSE data collected from HSE site inspections, emergency preparedness, and response in the monthly HSE report.
- Prepare internal/external HSSE reports, ensuring all relevant data is accurately recorded and presented.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Safety and Health or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in HSSE, preferably with reputable Engineering Firms, consulting firms, or similar organizations.
- NEBOSH / IOSH / IASP / OSHA certified.
- Strong experience in understanding Middle East health, safety, security, and environment legislation, with excellent Risk Assessment/analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing building and traffic safety, with a strong understanding of relevant HSSE legislation and technical standards.
- Strong experience with ISO and other types of external certifications, leading and managing small or large HSE Policy/Procedure Development & Implementation.

- Strong knowledge in Risk Assessment & Job Safety Analysis.
- Exemplary understanding of Western and Middle East OHS&E requirements, working efficiently with all levels of any workforce.
- Robust Communication with all Stakeholders, Multi-tasking & Meeting Deadlines.
- Risk Management & Audits.
- Exceeding KPI's and Targets, Leading Wellbeing Programs.
- Advanced level Microsoft applications, Conducting Workshops and Training, Strong Cultural & Behavioral Awareness.
- Demonstrated high level communication (oral and written), negotiation, liaison, and representation skills, and a demonstrated ability to consistently display high quality customer service principles.
- Change Management and conflict resolution skills.
