Job Overview

This role requires a versatile and technical individual to deliver impactful results within multiple business segments, different project types, and wide project scope. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale engineering projects from planning to launch support.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of projects, diving deep into technical details, and providing value engineering and innovative solutions. They will lead technical design reviews, propose design solutions, and create CAPEX requests to ensure projects are delivered within budget and best overall value.

A key aspect of this role is assessing and communicating project status, driving escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams. The candidate will also own the budget for the scope of the project, provide accurate updates and risk forecasts, and gain savings while ensuring quality and performance.

In addition to technical skills, the candidate will collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Procurement, and Change Management. They will also be responsible for contractor management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  1. End-to-end ownership for large-scale engineering projects (planning, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and qualification, launch support)
  2. Dive deep on technical details and provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements
  3. Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions for material handling and storage solutions that meet both business needs and internal standards
  4. Create, submit and track relevant CAPEX requests to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
  5. Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams
  6. Own the budget for the scope of the project. Give accurate updates and risk forecast. Gain savings while ensuring quality and performance
  7. Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to Procurement, Change Management
  8. Collaborate closely with various internal teams such as Construction, Operations, Reliability Maintenance Engineering, Procurement and Change Management
  9. Responsible for contractor management & teams up to approx 300 people in construction site
