Job Summary

The Stand Design Manager is a key member of the event operations team, responsible for ensuring the safe and successful execution of floor safety, stand design approvals, and supervision of H&S floor safety contractors. This role requires strong management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage floor safety, stand design approvals, and supervision of H&S floor safety contractors
  • Collaborate with event operations & show teams to ensure suppliers and exhibitor-appointed contractors achieve the required Informa standards
  • Oversee high-risk activities, such as early access, rigging, heavy lifts, and large machinery
  • Provide safety inductions and manage onsite construction and dismantlement stages
  • Record event H&S event performance and provide input to the wash-up meeting lessons learned

Requirements

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent
  • Proactive approach and ability to take initiative, anticipating needs
  • Strong time management and organisational skills, with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • IT confident and able to work with various systems, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability and willingness to travel to events as required
  • Background knowledge in exhibition industry/operations and understand technical elements to construction design management
