Job Summary

Parsons Oman is seeking an experienced Design Director - Landscape to lead our architectural discipline and drive creative excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, managing budgets, and overseeing the quality of our design work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement design strategies to achieve business objectives
    • Manage budgets, forecasts, and staffing levels to ensure efficient project delivery
    • Lead and motivate a team of designers and architects to achieve exceptional results
  • Design and Quality
    • Oversee the development of design concepts, plans, and specifications
    • Ensure that all design work meets the highest standards of quality, creativity, and technical excellence
    • Collaborate with project managers to resolve design-related issues and ensure timely project delivery
  • Recruitment and Development
    • Recruit, interview, and evaluate prospective employees
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of designers and architects
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Business Development
    • Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise and guidance
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture (or equivalent) and 15+ years of related experience, including supervisory/managerial experience
  • Professional registration is required
  • Proven ability to perform in a managerial capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of current technology and software for use in completing architectural design assignments
  • Experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
