Job Description

As an Account Executive at VML South Africa, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the account and acting as a liaison between the agency and the client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and follow up with all internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Liaise with the client to provide current information on the status of the account/job.
  • Manage internal and external correspondence, including client communication and meeting reports.
  • Receive briefs from the client, process them through internal systems, and coordinate amendments as needed.
  • Prepare creative briefs, status reports, contact reports, and media briefs to ensure smooth account operation.
  • Present and support creative work, send quotations and invoices to the client, and follow up accordingly.
  • Build a good relationship with the client and serve as a resourceful point of contact.
  • Support the account's planner and think proactively.
  • Conduct market visits, conduct preliminary research, and prepare competitive reviews when necessary.
  • Ensure financial documents are filed properly and the account's budget control sheet is updated regularly.
  • Maintain frequent contact with clients to understand their needs.
  • Analyze consumer needs and develop innovative solutions.
  • Educate customers about business solutions.
