Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist III to join our team at Da Home Care. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for preparing and filling medications, including sterile and non-sterile compounds, in accordance with established standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Order Review: Review and evaluate medication orders for demographic data, therapy appropriateness, dose, frequency, route, dosage form, interactions, allergies, and laboratory values.
  • Pharmacy Equipment Maintenance: Restock, operate, and troubleshoot pharmacy robotic equipment as needed.
  • Medication Preparation: Prepare, fill, compound, and double-check sterile and non-sterile medications in accordance with established procedures.
  • Medication Security: Maintain control and security of all medications, including controlled substances and supplies, and ensure proper dispensing and record-keeping.
  • Inventory Management: Order and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, monitoring expiration dates and preparing expired medications for disposal.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor medication-related activities and performance of new pharmacists or pharmacy assistants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Clinical Environment: Maintain a clean working environment, including hoods and countertops, and distribute medications to nursing units as required.
  • Performance Improvement: Participate in performance and quality improvement projects, following hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements

A Pharm.D. or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy is required for this role. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for pharmacy operations, we encourage you to apply.
