Search and Rescue Systems Specialist Job Overview

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Search and Rescue Systems Specialist to support the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring world-class support for all Search and Rescue products deployed at RSAF Local User Terminals, Rescue Coordination Centers, and Mission Control Centers.

  • Utilize expert-level knowledge of SAR systems to track and advise RSAF on system issues.
  • Perform remote and on-site system monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of RSAF systems.
  • Conduct software upgrades and configuration changes at RSAF sites.
  • Troubleshoot hardware faults and perform preventative maintenance on installed systems.
  • Assist with collecting data and generating reports for Cospas-Sarsat as required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience; OR Master's degree and 10 years' experience; OR 16 years of experience with proper certification.
  • Familiarity with SLB-2000 PLB and Honeywell Global Tracking SAR products.
  • Previous work experience with the Cospas-Sarsat program.
  • In-depth understanding of SAR products utilized by the RSAF.
Benefits:

This is a one-year assignment with an option to renew. The location may vary among four locations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia per the Performance Work Statement.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $126,100 - $227,950.
