About the Role:

Asterix Communications is seeking a highly skilled Process Development Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements across our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Mapping and Improvement: Develop and maintain process maps for all manufacturing activities, including cell placement, adhesive dispense, wire bonding, and end-of-line checks.
  2. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation plans to ensure a safe working environment.
  3. Process Optimization: Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  4. Business Continuity Planning: Identify potential risks to business continuity and develop mitigation plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  5. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the introduction and development of new processes, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  6. Training and Development: Identify training needs across the team and support the implementation of training programs.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Experience: 1+ years of experience in a relevant battery testing or associated role, with hands-on experience with build and testing equipment and methods.
  3. Skills: Excellent communication skills, team-oriented attitude, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Atlassian and Jira Experience: Experience with Atlassian, Jira, and Confluence.
  2. High Voltage Certification: High voltage certification.
  3. CAD Experience: Experience with CAD in at least one professional 3D CAD package, preferably Catia (V5 or V6) with the ability to generate drawings.
