The Islamic Development Bank is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Expenses Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Finance and CFO division, this role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Bank policy and International Accounting Standards.

  • Review and verify daily transactions/payment vouchers to ensure completeness and accuracy of payments.
  • Ensure payments are in line with contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with IsDB's policies and procedures, guidelines, and internal control systems.
  • Provide technical advice in the preparation and settlement of complex transactions.
  • Identify and communicate any admin expense irregularities or non-compliance to management.
  • Verify and review the recording of Input VAT to ensure compliance with tax authority requirements.
  • Formulate and manage quarterly VAT refund activities for the IsDB Group.
  • Submit periodic refunds for the Bank and staff.
  • Manage audits carried out by the Tax Authority.
  • Coordinate all Bank communications to the tax authority.
  • Analyze financial or operating data to satisfy regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to annual planning and periodic forecasting for consolidated administrative expenses.
  • Reconcile vendor balances and associated general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure accurate posting of expense transactions in accordance with Bank policy and International Accounting Standards.
  • Perform detailed scenario and run rate analyses to meet management objectives.
  • Analyze and identify gaps in existing policies for procurement of goods and services and staff payroll and loan processes.
  • Contribute to the formulation of policies and guidelines governing payment requests from contractors and other vendors.
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation of IsDB Group policies and procedures, and legislative regulations applicable for the Division.
  • Develop relevant financial reports and monthly statements as required by the Department.
  • Design and maintain online and manual financial reporting systems.
  • Prepare periodic or ad-hoc reports as requested by management. {"h3": "Requirements"}
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Certification in CA, ACCA, or CPA is preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, multilateral institute experience is preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems such as Oracle/SAP.
