Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Officer to join our team at Olayancareer. As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for handling and monitoring the timely submission of all management reports, coordinating with external and internal auditors, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial packages and other management reports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management reports, including the monthly management letter, monthly financial package, regional and internal package, and divisional contribution, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  2. Financial Package Management: Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of financial packages and other management reports, minimizing errors and discrepancies.
  3. Reporting System Enhancement: Enhance the reporting system from time to time to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Exceptional Transaction Monitoring: Draw management attention to exceptional transactions, ensuring prompt action and resolution.
  5. Periodical Sales Report Collection: Collect and consolidate periodical sales reports and submit them to management in a timely manner.
  6. Forecast and Budget Preparation: Prepare calendarized forecasts and budgets, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  7. Banking and Treasury Coordination: Contact bankers on letter of credit, bank settlement certificates, bank advices, utilization of forward covers, payments, and related matters, minimizing L/C amendments due to errors in opening L/C.
  8. Intercompany Transfers and Funding: Coordinate with Group treasury on intercompany transfers, funding, debit & credit notes, and any related matters.
  9. Effective Communication: Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders, including management, external auditors, and internal auditors.
  10. Supplier Reconciliation: Raise debit notes on suppliers, book supplier invoices and credit notes, and prepare supplier reconciliation, minimizing reconciling items.
  11. General Ledger Account Reconciliation: Prepare reconciliations of GL accounts relating to suppliers payables/receivables, banks & group treasury, and take action on reconciling items.
  12. Year-End Closing: Monitor year-end closing and ensure that all aspects relating to year-end closing are taken care of, including coordination with external and internal auditors.
