Job Title: Communications Systems Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Systems Engineer to join our team at Dalma Tech2. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our communications infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Communications Infrastructure Plans: Develop plans and strategies for the acquisition, installation, and operations & maintenance of communications infrastructure.
  2. Design and Implement Network Architecture: Develop architecture/design for the communications network infrastructure installation using the latest equipment in SDH, ATM, IP, TETRA, etc., technologies over Fiber, Radio, Microwaves, Satellite, etc., transmission mediums.
  3. Define Technical Requirements and Specifications: Define technical requirements and specifications for network enhancements, and/or expansions and prepare test plans & procedures for system evaluation and acceptance.
  4. Prepare and Review Technical Documents: Prepare or review Functional Requirements, System Requirements, and Statement of Work documents for the communications network growth.
  5. Project Manage Communications Infrastructure Projects: Project manage the installation of communications infrastructure growth, upgrades, or expansions projects consisting of transmission, switching, multiplexing, base-stations, gateways, routers, etc.
  6. Evaluate and Upgrade Hardware and Software: Evaluate, plan, install and/or upgrade hardware and software to meet strategic requirements.
  7. Develop Maintenance Control Plans: Develop maintenance control plans and procedures.
  8. Monitor Network Performance: Monitor network performance and loading of network and reconfigure the network to balance the load.
  9. Prepare Training Materials and Documents: Prepare training material & documentation as per training requirements.
  10. Impart Classroom and On-The-Job Training: Impart classroom training as well as On-The-Job to the technical personnel in various communications fields.
  11. Prepare and Evaluate Spare Parts Requirements: Prepare and/or evaluate the spare parts requirements related to the communication systems.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Shall have a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or higher degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications Engineering.
  2. Experience: The candidate shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as communications systems engineer in system design, modifications, integration, and operations & maintenance of communications infrastructure using related industry & ITU standards, design techniques, tools, and Network Management Systems.
  3. Technical Skills: Shall have experience in defining requirements, designing and documenting architecture, developing specifications, and preparing Statements of Work and other related documents for large-scale communication systems including wire, wireless, and satellite communications.
  4. Network Management Systems: Shall have experience with Network Management Systems, e.g., HP OpenView.
  5. Helpdesk System: Knowledge/experience of helpdesk system, e.g., Remedy, HP Service Desk, is desirable.
  6. Digital Trunking Radio Systems: Shall have experience in Digital Trunking Radio Systems (DTRS).
  7. Ground to Air HF, VHF, UHF, SHF Radios and their multiplex and terminal systems: Shall have experience in Ground to Air HF, VHF, UHF, SHF Radios and their multiplex and terminal systems, Land Mobiles, TETRA, and SATCOM systems.
