Asterix Communications is seeking a skilled Project Controls Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain project controls and scheduling functions on a portfolio of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the development and management of cost control systems to provide accurate financial information to project and company management.
  2. Facilitate the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS) and interface with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments as needed.
  3. Perform independent analysis of data stored in project management and cost control systems.
  4. Create presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status.
  5. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing project information.
  6. Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule.
  7. Assess the impact of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
  8. Report schedule status to all levels of project and company management, as well as to the client.
  9. Identify potential areas of delay/slippage, highlight critical events, and suggest mitigation measures/corrective actions.
  10. Prepare regular progress reports and monthly reports with program analysis and recommendations.
  11. Conduct detailed assessments of claims, including Extension of Time and Disruption.
  12. Coordinate with the client to finalize contractor programs, reports, and claims.
  13. Attend meetings, providing valuable inputs and preparing concise minutes.
  14. Prepare trackers/logs to monitor critical issues during the design and construction stages of the project.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2+ years of related work experience.
  3. Basic engineering knowledge in civil, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
  4. Proficient PC skills, including proficiency in Project Controls software (Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Registered with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  2. Saudi Nationals only.
  3. Collegiate, team-player attitude.
