Heritage Conservation Strategist

We are seeking a highly experienced Heritage Conservation Strategist to join our team at BLR WORLD. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our conservation management efforts and develop strategies that align with our organization's vision.

This key position will be responsible for developing and implementing effective conservation management strategies for built heritage assets, working closely with our development team, stakeholders, and external partners.

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for the short and long-term conservation of built heritage assets, taking into account our organization's vision, visitor experience, surrounding landscape, and archaeological sites.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of approved conservation projects in collaboration with our teams, stakeholders, and external consultants, ensuring alignment with our goals and objectives.
• Cultivate relationships with cross-functional teams, including Collections Management, Curatorial, and external experts, to ensure effective conservation management practices.
• Maintain and update the conservation management program, ensuring timely delivery and close-out of projects, and communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team of conservation professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge transfer.
• Implement quality control processes to ensure conservation practices meet approved standards and project specifications.
• Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management, stakeholders, and department directors.

• MA/PhD in Archaeology, Conservation, or Heritage Management.
• At least 15 years of experience in the field, with 7 years in a managerial position.
• Extensive knowledge of Saudi and regional archaeology, conservation, and heritage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in the GCC in a heritage role.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
