Job Purpose:

The Operations and Maintenance Policy Follow-up Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the adoption and compliance of approved policies within the Saudi Irrigation Organization. This involves conducting periodic audits to assess the status of implementation and preparing related reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct research to evaluate the requirements of operating and maintenance systems, as requested by the unit head.
  2. Participate in developing policies and related tools, in accordance with the unit head's instructions and adhering to the Administrative Development Department's models and guidelines.
  3. Deliver awareness lectures to relevant parties, as scheduled, to ensure the adoption of policies and compliance with them.
  4. Prepare reports to evaluate awareness lectures, based on attendee feedback and observations.
  5. Contribute to the continuous evaluation of available policies, comparing them with scope, requirements, and applied systems to ensure reliability and avoid outdated policies.
  6. Develop programs and tools for auditing operations to monitor compliance with policies.
  7. Conduct audits, as scheduled, to evaluate compliance with prepared policies.
  8. Prepare audit reports, including improvement suggestions, and submit them to the unit head for additional feedback.
  9. Participate in updating operational policies to integrate improvement plans, as requested by the unit head.
  10. Follow up with relevant parties to implement improvement plans and prepare progress reports.
  11. Ensure work is carried out in a well-coordinated manner, in line with relevant policies, procedures, and instructions.
  12. Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering leading practices.
  13. Promote, implement, and adhere to operational policies and procedures within the Saudi Irrigation Organization.
  14. Transfer expertise and knowledge to less experienced employees, ensuring their understanding of approved work policies and procedures.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and implementing policies within the field of maintenance.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing a team of professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
