The POCT Coordinator will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of point-of-care testing within our organization. This role requires strong communication and coordination skills to facilitate seamless interactions between laboratory and nursing personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor, and control daily operations of point-of-care testing, including technical aspects, planning, recommending, and implementing policies and procedures consistent with regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Act as a lab liaison to provide customer support and communicate effectively with laboratory and nursing staff.
  • Perform quality assurance and technical duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements for proficiency testing.
  • Treat patients with compassion and provide person-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • BSc Degree in Medical Technology, Science, or equivalent acceptable degree.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a medical technologist, with at least 2 years of POCT experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Good command of oral and written English.
  • Ability to manage internal and external departmental communications.
  • Knowledge in laboratory services.
