The Procurement Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the company's supply chain by ensuring that the organization always has access to the resources it needs to deliver. A Procurement Manager has the responsibility for handling a company's end-to-end procurement operations for a category or categories by carrying out research, creating and executing strategy, defining quality and quantity metrics, and choosing suppliers that meet these criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Procurement Strategy: Plan and manage a company's overall procurement strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  2. Research and Analysis: Conduct research to understand a company's operational needs and requirements, and analyze data to inform procurement decisions.
  3. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and key suppliers to ensure a stable and efficient supply chain.
  4. Negotiation and Cost Control: Negotiate pricing and control costs to ensure the company achieves the best possible value from its suppliers.
  5. Process Improvement: Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement in procurement strategy to drive business growth and efficiency.
  6. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop an annual budget based on procurement needs and forecast future requirements to ensure the company's supply chain remains agile and responsive.
  7. Documentation and Reporting: Write procurement documentation and provide regular reports to stakeholders on procurement performance and progress.
  8. Business Partnering: Build and leverage internal business partner relationships to create value-focused strategies that align with business goals.
  9. Contract Review: Review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  10. Business Optimization: Proactively seek business optimization and cost savings or new capability and develop data-driven business cases to support initiatives.
  11. Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay current on industry and market trends and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in a field such as Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Experience: 9+ years of experience within procurement, operations, or relevant experience.
  3. Skills: Contracting and negotiation, risk management, data analysis, return on investment evaluations, advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
