About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Riyadh. As a key member of our Programme Management, Construction Management (PMCM) team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering large and complex construction projects to a high standard and to fast-track programmes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead the on-site project team to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and implement a proactive working and safety policy to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, including project team members, construction teams, and clients.
  • Manage contractual disputes in a fair and reasonable manner.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff on issues related to staff problems.
  • Implement inspection procedures to ensure quality of work.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to the project team.
  • Monitor and report on overall project progress, working closely with contractors to mitigate programme issues.
  • Maintain regular communication with the PMCM team regarding costs and programme matters.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders on matters impacting contract duration or value.
  • Advise clients on contractual matters and provide recommendations for resolving disputes.
  • Represent WSP as a senior member of the PMCM team, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
Requirements
  • 15 years of industry experience in managing and delivering large and complex construction projects, with a strong track record of success.
  • Previous experience in similar projects with high-end finishing and landscaping work.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the GCC region.
  • Effective leadership and commitment to achieving goals.
  • Familiarity with contractual matters related to construction projects and a good working knowledge of the FIDIC Red Book.
  • Previous experience in a PMCM environment.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Project Management.
